Porter Heath Morgan

Porter Heath Morgan, IV, represents clients with their virtual general and compliance counsel needs.

 

Heath is a third generation collection attorney with over 15 years of experience as in-house counsel for several companies in the collection industry.  Additionally, Heath has 10 years of experience in collection litigation with CFPB regulated collection law firms in the financial services industry.  Heath is a partner with the firm’s virtual compliance and general counsel practice and has experience in many different industry segments including commercial, first party and third party healthcare, telecom, and retail financial services including CFPB oversight and governance.  Heath is also an ACA-approved Collection Notice Review Attorney.

Prior to joining the firm, Heath represented three different ACA PPMS Certified collection agencies as general and corporate counsel.  Heath’s practice experience includes compliance, defense litigation, contracts, employment and HR matters.  Heath’s compliance focus includes:

  • Client and CFPB related audits,

  • Collection Litigation programs to improve compliance, efficiency, and revenue,

  • Compliance Management System process, procedures, and controls,

  • Omni-Channel Communication implementation,

  • Vendor Management Oversight Programs. 

 

He is passionate about education through many mediums, and has presented seminars and teleseminars on many aspects of the ARM industry for ACA International, Colorado Creditor’s Bar Association, International Association of Commercial Collectors (IACC), Medical, Dental, and Hospital Business Association (MDHBA), American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM), and the Healthcare Finance Management Association (HFMA). 

Heath has also produced two documentary films, The Trials of Law School and The Ballad of Willie and Lucille: Peevyhouse v. Garland Coal & Oil.
